USB-C is the new standard cable and connector for power and connectivity. The USB C connector has no up or down orientation. No more flipping the connector over to plug it in. This cable is directional. Meaning it goes from the host (USB-C v3.1) to a HDMI 1.4 or lower device. The cable has a male USB C connector to plug into the host and a female HDMI connector so an extisting HDMI cable can plug into it. It supports 3840 x 2160 @ 30Hz. This cable does NOT have a pass through power port. This is a great cable to get your video from your computer or phone to a TV.
